2006/2007 Chevrolet Camaro ConceptChevy die hards potentially have something to look forward to in the year 2006. Quite possibly - the release of the 2006/2007 Camaro. Currently it is nothing more than a concept car, but that's how they all begin.
| Currently, the last of the Camaro breed lies in the 1992 base model, SS, and Z-28. In it's last year of production, the Z-28 model Camaro pushed out a generous helping of power: 310 HP @ 5200 RPM - paired with 340 ft/lbs of torque @ 4000 RPM.
It was surely no slouch, and it has left the Chevy crowd eager for a new birth. . . or in this case a rebirth.
The newest Camaro craze began back in September of 2003, in an issue of Popular Hot Rodding Magazine. The article was called "The Fifth Element" and it depicted what the next rebirth of the Camaro should look like through the eyes of Kris Horton.

Rumors have been flying ever since. Many claims have been made that a V8 motor is in production as the new powerplant for the future Camaro.
Speculation over the design and powerplant of the possible 2006/2007 Camaro has been the topic of much debate on discussion forums internet wide for the past several months.
With as much hype as there is about it - my only hope is that they do release it, and that it meets the expectations of Chevy fans. Long live the Camaro. |
