Ferrari F430 - NHTSA warns of trouble aheadThe Ferrari F430 is one of Ferrari's best selling models in the United States. The NHTSA has hinted at a full out ban of Ferrari F430 sales due to a problem with the configuration of the side air-bags. The problem is that the side-airbags don't properly support children or small people in general. The ban could go into effect as early as fall of 2006.
| Ferrari has requested to be allowed to continue sales until the release of a new V8 supercar that will be the Ferrari F430's replacement for the 2008 model year.
Why is it okay for a Jeep to have thin plastic doors, but a Ferrari F430 has to have air-bags to accommodate for every body size imaginable? |
