Mini Cooper (Fireball Tim Racing) DragsterMini showed up to Hot Import Nights in Phoenix with their new Mini Dragster. The cooper is a bad mo-fo. The car is yet to make its debut pass, although rumors that it ran 12's at HIN have been floating around - they are false, as the car didn't race.
| The Mini Cooper S Dragster's body is composed mostly of carbon fiber, aiding in weight reduction. The Cooper S is the result of a collaboration between Fireball Tim Racing and Mini USA. The Fireball Mini puts out 500 horsepower, and weighs a meager 1700 pounds.
Fireball Tim's blog states that the Mini uses a twin-charger motor. I am not aware if it is twin turbochargers... a turbo/supercharger combo, or a sequential setup of some kind. It is hard to tell from the under-hood photo.
