Spinning Rim : Please make it stop!

Spinning rims are everywhere now. The concept is simple. The cars stops, but the rims just a keep on spinning. This was entertaining the first time I saw it. It was of "baller" status - but now, I'm officially calling it "played out". Stop it with the spinning rims - no more.

Now, don't get me wrong... on a vehicle - the spinning rims are okay. It's not quite my cup of tea, as it screams "Look at me", but I can see why some would want them. Here's a picture of what spinning rims look like on a car.

Okay, so that's fine... a spinning rim on a car. Now here comes the point when it crossed the line. Behold, my list of things that should never have a "spinning" version:

  • Hub Caps
  • Necklaces
  • Watches
  • Belt Buckles

I try to be open minded... but what the hell is going on here? Has the earth become so needy that everyone has to have some sort of excessive "bling" to say - "Hey, look at me. Look at me!".

The sad truth is - we care, but we don't care. My personal standpoint when I see someone with a spinning rim accessory on their person is, "Look dude, buying a spinning belt buckle does not make you a baller, nor does it make you cool. You don't have to try to compensate for not being able to afford spinning rims for your car... now get a hobby that doesn't spin."
