2007 Nissan Skyline GT-R

The 2007 Nissan Skyline GT-R will finally make its way to the united states. Nissan fans have been waiting years for this to happen. The 2007 Nissan Skyline could quite possibly carry the Infiniti name in the states, but it may end up being called the Skyline in America as well. Their concept was simply called the GT-R Concept - so they are leaving it up to the imagination at this point.

No official specifications have been released on the 2007 Nissan Skyline GT-R, but in wouldn't be a skyline if it wasn't all-wheel-drive and turbocharged would it? From the Skyline's history, one can assume that it will be an AWD platform in Turbocharged fashion.

It is being speculated that the 2007 Nissan Skyline GT-R will end up either looking similar to the Nissan 350Z, or the Infiniti G35. Here are a couple pictures of what the 350Z targeted Skyline could look like. There are spy pictures out of the Infiniti based Skyline as well, but they are copywriten... Google images will bring them up for you under "2007 Infiniti".

It would be nice for the Skyline to have the Skyline name in the states - but I must say that the Infinity version of the could be Skyline is much more visually appealing. Hell, sign me up for one of each Nissan - put it on my tab.

The following additional information has come to our attention:

From the horses mouth, the 2007 GT-R will be sold in the US, as well as Japan and Eurpoe. The 2007 Skyline will have the same engine in all markets. While the specifics on the engine are still unconfirmed, it is believed that Nissan is using a 3.7L V6 Twin Turbo motor, starting out at 450 horsepower.

The concept pictures above, are not close to what the GT-R will look like. Sketch drawings have become available, and they do not closely resemble either of the above two concepts.
