Front Bumper Support Removal on 2000 Acura Integra LSTools needed for the job: 12 MM Socket
6" or Longer Ratchet Extension
Ratchet Wrench
Removing the front bumper support is an easy way to drop 20 lbs or more on most cars. Please keep in mind that you should not be doing this unless your car is for off road use only. If you wreck without your bumper support, there will be a lot less metal between you and whatever you run in to.
| First, refer to Front Bumper Removal On 2000 Integra for instructions on how to remove your front bumper, in order to get to your bumper support.
There are (2) 12mm bolts in each side of the front bumper support. Simply remove all 4 of them, and your bumper should hang loosely.
Now all that is holding your bumper support on is the little tab you see in the picture to the left. Simply lift each side up and over the tab to get the bumper support off of the car.
The finished product - more room in the bumper area, and less weight on your car. Congratulations, you just changed your power to weight ratio for the better. |
