Front Bumper Removal on 2000 Acura Integra LS

Tools needed for the job:
10 MM Socket/Wrench Phillips Screw Driver

Removing the front bumper on most Hondas is pretty much the same, aside from a couple minor differences on each one. The one used for this article was a 2000 Acura Integra LS. You can do these steps in any order, this is just the order that the pictures were taken in.

You must remove the large screws that go through the black metal plate - indicated in the picture to the left with arrows. These screws are made of a fairly soft material, so make sure you use the proper size Phillips screw driver, or you run the risk of stripping them out.

You will then need to take out a couple screws from both of the wheel wells. On the Integra, there is one at the bottom of the wheel well, and one on the inside lip of the wheel well, where the front bumper meets the fender, as indicated in the picture to the left.

Under the hood, on the each far side there will be ( 2 ) 10mm bolts that will need to be removed. They are pointed out in the picture to the left.

On the Integra, the turn signals are not a part of the headlight, and they will need to be removed to get the bumper off. There is one simple screw that needs to be removed in each turn signal housing. Once the screw is out, slide the signal towards you and to the center of the bumper and it will come out. (You will also need to disconnect the turn signal bulbs from the housing) Once all of the above is said and done, give a firm tug on each side of the bumper near where the bumper meets the fender. There are a couple small plastic snap holders that will be holding the bumper on still.

Last but not least by any means, underneath the car, the bumper is bolted up so that it does not drag the ground. There are ( 3 ) 10mm bolts that will need to be removed from underneath the front bumper. That's it - your bumper should be easily removable at this point.
