Hydrogen Gas Stations: Coming to a Neighborhood Near You!A company by the name of Air Products and Chemicals has announced that they will begin work with FuelCell Energy of Danbury to design and create Hydrogen filling stations in select areas.
| The filling stations are going to be using a technology that allows propane, natural gas, and many other common fuels to be converted into Hydrogen. Hydrogen can be used to power virtually anything... from cars to office buildings.
The goal that the companies are shooting for on this project is to be able to provide enough Hydrogen to power 20 vehicles and a 300 room office building each day.
Potential test locations for the Hydrogen filling stations are California and Florida. This has been said to be a bridge to fill the gap between now and the future of a global hydrogen network. Sounds expensive - I'll stick to petrol until forced. |
