2009 Dodge ChallengerDodge announced that they will release a 2009 Dodge Challenger. This was probably brought on by the retro craze currently going on. The 2009 Dodge Challenger is aimed at taking a bite directly out of Ford's sales. The 2006 Ford Mustang is selling like hotcakes and Dodge wants in on the action. They can't help but suck up a small percentage of the retro vehicle market share.

The Challenger has always been intended to compete with the Mustang. It was only produced for 5 short years (1970-1974). Is it too late in the game for the Challenger to make it big in the retro flashback car phase.
The 2009 Challenger will once again be a 2 door coupe, presumably stuffed to the gills with some variation of the Hemi motor found in Dodge's Magnum, Charger, and Chrysler 300 models. Let the games begin. |
